Are We Losing Our Individuality and Becoming Dependent on Machines?

Yes, there is no doubt that we are becoming increasingly dependent on machines. The situation has reached a point where even if we want to, we cannot live without these technological advancements. Mechanization has taken over our lives. When civilizations were undeveloped, people still survived, so why can’t they now? This is because humans have adapted to, and genetically embedded, technological thinking that cannot be removed suddenly.

But why do we even want to eliminate our dependence on technology? Is it truly bad?

The Age of Automation

We are living in the era of automation. The AI revolution is ongoing, and human effort is decreasing. These advancements are designed to make our lives more comfortable and beautiful. New technologies are being invented to improve the quality of life.

But ultimately, how much have we improved? If the main goal of life is to enjoy it, how successful have we been in achieving that? As much as we enjoy today’s technology, people 500 years ago were just as happy with the technology they had. Even 1,000 years ago, people were no less happy than we are now.

Have We Lost Perspective?

In this new era, we witness something new being invented every day, and we can access amazing information that now seems very ordinary to us. We’re taking it for granted. As time moves forward, our knowledge base is growing richer, allowing us to solve very complex problems and even reach beyond the boundaries of the solar system.

future world

But does this make us happier than the people who lived 1,000 years ago? I don’t think so. Our ancestors lived their lives and passed away after their time was up, and we will do the same. Our future generations will gather more and more amazing information and invent technologies we may not even be able to imagine right now. Their innovative mindset and adaptation to technology will stem from the information encoded in our genes or DNA

The Cycle of Technological Evolution

This means they will be born with advanced knowledge, and based on that, they will invent new things. Generation after generation will come, and the rules of the world (and beyond) will continue to evolve. People will keep adapting to these changes.

However, happiness in life is relative and ever-changing. With new inventions, new problems will also arise, and human life will continue to be spent solving these challenges.

Future Lifestyle Predictions

next world

Let’s imagine how our lifestyle might change in the coming years. AI dependency will reduce the need for human labor in the workplace. There will be a significant reduction in direct human involvement in many sectors.

Energy Revolution

The energy sector is going to undergo radical changes as fossil fuel resources deplete. We will likely switch to alternative energy sources very quickly.

 Global Warming

Global warming will be the next biggest threat to our planet. We will need new technologies to tackle this growing issue.

Transportation

The transportation sector will experience dramatic changes, possibly reducing the need for physical movement from one place to another. Holographic technology might enable us to appear at workplaces without being physically present.

Agriculture and Food Security

The importance of the agriculture sector will rise significantly. Despite all our technological advances, we cannot live without food.

With decreasing agricultural land and adverse weather conditions affecting production, agriculture will become even more crucial. New technologies will be used to accelerate farming practices.
